Tudor Nights: Behind the Canvas: A Journey Through Time with Peter Waddell

This event is no longer on sale.

Thursday November 4

6:30 PM  –  7:15 PM

Join Tudor Place’s artist in residence Peter Waddell in his studio for a virtual tour of early Washington.

Through his meticulously detailed paintings, including those recently unveiled in Lafayette Square commemorating enslaved people who built the White House, Peter will cast light on little known aspects of The Federal City, and dispel some popular myths.

Since Peter arrived from New Zealand in 1992, he has brought a fresh view to American history with his works created for The White House Historical Association, George Washington’s Mount Vernon, and the Albert Small Washingtoniana Collection.

Discover American history under a new lens through Peter’s extraordinary paintings and amusing stories and hear what’s in store for him next.

You will be sent a link to ZOOM with instructions, meeting ID and password via email one day before the event
