SPECIAL TOUR: Death Comes to Tudor Place.
Join us from October 3 through November 5 for Death Comes to Tudor Place. This tour reveals almost 200 years of mourning customs as expressed through artifacts and décor. All guided tours will explore the evolution of funeral and burial traditions among Peter family members. Tours will also consider the traditions of enslaved and free domestic laborers, which reflected generations of inherited traditions and collective values.
Please take care to note that the tour includes content related to infant mortality, grief, enslavement and racism.
The historic house is shown by guided tour, offered hourly; ticket includes garden access. Pre-registration encouraged, walk-ins are welcome as space permits.
